Job summary

ofi North America (Olam Food Ingredients) is seeking a Material Handler to ensure efficient movement of materials in a fully onsite facility. You will support production, maintain inventory accuracy, and manage material flow across warehouse and manufacturing areas.

The role requires 3–5 years in materials handling, proficiency with SAP, and experience operating forklifts at a facility that processes tree nuts. Excellent teamwork and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures for materials handling.
• Compliance with health and hygiene standards, PPE when required.
• 3-5 years as Materials Handler or similar in warehouse/manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of materials handling, inventory, and supply chain.
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks or hand trucks with certifications if required.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems for tracking.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Physical stamina for repetitive tasks and lifting.
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, accurate movement of materials in warehouse and plant.
• Operate material handling equipment per safety guidelines and report issues.
• Inspect materials for damage; coordinate with quality for non-conforming items.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against documents.
• Maintain inventory records and perform regular stock counts.
• Prepare materials for distribution; label and package for shipment.
• Generate inventory reports and communicate discrepancies to stakeholders.
