Job summary

Re:Build Manufacturing seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to be embedded with a harness plant, supporting Cadonix software and shop-floor operations. You will work with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues and implement improvements on AWS-based tooling.

The role requires hands-on AWS development, strong programming skills, and collaboration with global Product/Development teams. On-site presence is required at least 50% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• 3–5 years of software development, support or implementation.
• Understanding of production environments and shop-floor workflows.
• Experience engaging directly with customers.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying applications on AWS (Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM).
• Proficient in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript or C#.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, Windows and Linux, web apps and APIs.
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD and infrastructure as code.

Responsibilities

• On-Site Production Support – triage, diagnose and resolve issues with the software and connected hardware.
• Customer Engagement – collaborate with remote teams and on-site engineers.
• Customer Liaison & Change Requests – capture and prioritize feature improvements.
• Cloud Development & Tooling – develop scripts and small tools on AWS for site ops.
• Blocking Issue & Root Cause Analysis – lead RCA and verify fixes on site.
• Training & Documentation – train operators and maintain runbooks and knowledge base.
