Job summary

Bizzy Coffee, headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, seeks a hands-on accounting leader to own the close, financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory, and internal controls. You will lead one direct report and collaborate with Operations and the broader leadership team to scale our finance function.

The role requires deep expertise in manufacturing accounting and ERP systems, with a focus on accuracy, visibility, and scalable processes as Bizzy grows.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of close and financial reporting.
• Controller/Assistant Controller/Accounting Manager level experience in manufacturing; food & beverage/CPG preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and full-cycle accounting, with cost and inventory accounting exposure.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and a manufacturing ERP; implementing accounting systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end and year-end close with GAAP financial statements.
• Manage general ledger, chart of accounts, journal entries, reconciliations, and review.
• Lead accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, cash application and related processes.
• Establish and improve accounting policies, close calendars, and internal controls.
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports and provide analysis for margin, cash flow, and working capital.
• Partner with Operations and leadership to drive data-driven decisions.
