Job summary

IST Precision Inc. is hiring an Accounting & Purchasing Manager to own day-to-day accounting in QuickBooks and lead the transition to ERP.

You will also manage procurement, vendor relationships, and inventory‑related financial controls, working directly with leadership to improve financial clarity. The role combines accounting leadership with purchasing discipline, requiring 5+ years of experience in financial operations, preferably in manufacturing, and strong process improvement capabilities.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of accounting or financial operations experience.
• Experience in manufacturing with inventory and job costing preferred.
• Strong experience with month-end close and reconciliations.
• Proven purchasing or procurement experience.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounting in QuickBooks until full transition in ERP.
• Lead monthly close process and account reconciliations.
• Manage A/P, A/R, and invoicing.
• Maintain clean financial records and internal controls.
• Support budgeting and financial reporting.
• Maintain inventory and job cost accuracy.
• Assist leadership with financial reporting insights.
• Manage purchasing of engineering BOM items and operational supplies.
• Maintain purchase order tracking and vendor documentation.
• Oversee receiving and reconciliation of goods with invoices.
• Ensure purchasing aligns with project schedules and cost controls.
• Improve purchasing controls and approval workflows.
• Support ERP integration of purchasing processes.
• Assist leadership with ERP system rollout for ERP.
• Help define financial, purchasing, and inventory processes.
• Ensure data integrity during migration.
