Job summary

Asteelflash is seeking a detail-oriented Maintenance Engineer for its Milpitas, CA site. The role ensures reliability and uptime of SMT production equipment, wave soldering systems, and conformal coating processes in a 100% onsite environment.

Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering and 7+ years in similar roles within electronics manufacturing. Full-time, exempt, onsite with strong emphasis on preventive maintenance and safety.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
7+ years in similar position.
7+ years working in electronic contract manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control-system issues.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
Inspect machinery and identify potential failures before they occur.
Coordinate with technicians, operators, vendors, and the client’s engineering/maintenance team.
Plan and execute scheduled maintenance activities.
Support root-cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
Monitor spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials.
