Job summary

Regions Bank is seeking a Software Engineer to oversee application development, modify and maintain applications, and monitor system performance within its Technology department.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in CS/related field and five years of experience. Location is onsite with potential in Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC; relocation not provided. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Five (5) years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees development and installation of new hardware and software.
• Installs and configures systems and other software.
• Tests installed software for malfunction detection.
• Identifies and resolves business systems issues.
• Designs and deploys new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operation systems.
• Measures effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems.
• Develops and implements strategies to improve systems.
• Monitors and tests system performance.
• Maintains full ownership of a process typically.
• Ensures compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practices.
• May act as a procedural expert.
• May lead the work of junior level associates.
