Job summary

IQVIA seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse to support clinical trial activities on-site in Austin and Houston, under supervision of RNs/Physicians. You will deliver basic patient care, ensure protocol integrity, and advocate for patient safety during visits and procedures.

The role emphasizes accurate vital signs, phlebotomy support, venous access, sample collection, and teamwork with the study team. Texas LVN license and current BLS/ACLS required or obtained within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Current BLS/ACLS certification or obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Current Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and documents vital signs (BP, pulse, temp, resp rate, height, weight).
• Confirms and documents fasting status.
• Obtains pain and fatigue scales.
• Accesses central venous access devices using aseptic technique.
• Obtains peripheral venous access using aseptic technique.
• Obtains clinical labs and study-specific specimens according to schedule.
• Obtains good quality ECGs according to schedule.
• Collects and reviews medication lists and diaries as appropriate.
• Assists RNs/Physicians with procedures or examinations.
• Prepares laboratory requisitions and supplies.
• Maintains cleanliness of draw stations and work areas.
• Inventories and requests supplies as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
