Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver skilled nursing care under RN supervision in a on-site setting in Ohio. The role emphasizes assessment, documentation, family education, and adherence to ACH standards.

The LPN will administer medications, collect data, and contribute to care plans and discharge planning while maintaining safety and high-quality patient care. Ohio LPN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of licensed practical nursing.
• Current, valid LPN license in the state of Ohio.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum one year of relevant experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of ACH standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care under RN or provider supervision.
• Collect and monitor patient data, samples, and labs, report changes.
• Develop and implement care and discharge plans under RN direction.
• Safely administer medications, injections, and treatments, monitor reactions.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health and self-care.
• Document patient care per hospital policies and standards.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and adherence to ACH policies.
• Collaborate with care team and participate in ongoing education.
• Perform additional duties to support operations.
