Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Logistics Technician in Brookpark, OH to support daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory, and material-handling activities. The position is onsite and contract-to-hire, with a pay range of $16.00–$17.00 per hour. A strong attendance record and reliable work history are valued as the team coordinates shipments

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, logistics, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain regular attendance.
• Consistent employment history with reliability.
• Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining positive relationships.

• Valid drivers license may be required when operating a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, and label equipment for shipment using appropriate containers.
• Verify incoming and outgoing items against work orders and packing slips.
• Use handheld scanners to receive, pick, track, and process inventory.
• Perform basic equipment kitting based on customer or project requirements.
• Complete cycle counts and follow inventory-control procedures.
• Receive and unload materials, report shortages or discrepancies.
• Prepare bills of lading and required shipping documents.
• Deliver materials to internal departments and obtain signatures when required.
• Operate warehouse equipment after training or certification.
• Assist with routine warehouse and shipping area maintenance and organization.
• Maintain a secure facility by following procedures for access and alarms.
• Communicate professionally with internal teams, project managers, sales teams, vendors, and customers.
• Follow departmental policies, safety requirements, quality standards, and work instructions.
• Attend required training and certification courses.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
