Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking a CVN Maintenance Support Center Logistics Support 4 candidate to join the Suffolk, VA facility. The role supports MSC operations during refueling complex overhaul and involves working with technical manuals and engineering drawings to evaluate logistics for equipment and parts.

The position requires experience with MSC operations, naval systems knowledge, and the ability to obtain Secret clearance and CAC.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 years of related experience.
• Experience with CVN Maintenance Support Center (MSC).
• Knowledge of naval hull, mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals and engineering drawings for logistic evaluation.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance and CAC.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the logistics function, assisting Ships Force personnel in day-to-day operation and on-the-job training of the MSC during a ship’s refueling complex overhaul.
• Modifies maintenance records, such as repair standards, for more complex equipment or components.
• Analyze Validation Worksheets (VW) to identify logistic support deficiencies and assist the MSC in determining proper logistic support using Haystack (IHS).
• Assist with Relational Supply (RSUPPLY) and OMMS-NG operation.
• Assist the MSC with communications to resolve problems and gather data for OMMS-NG database corrections.
• Assist the MSC in processing and submission of validation data to the Configuration Data Manager (CDM).
• Assist the MSC in tracking and processing of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) packages received.
• Reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment and documents conditions and support materials.
