Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (IT Logistician) to coordinate delivery and receiving for a government client in the National Capital Region, onsite only.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance and extensive logistics experience, including coordinating vendor access, cargo inspections, and secure facility processes. A Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of related work is preferred; certifications like CPL/CLTD and OSHA 30 are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of progressive logistics, receiving, or construction material coordination experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain government credentials.
• Experience coordinating deliveries into secure Government facilities.
• Knowledge of material handling operations and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the delivery and receiving coordinator for the client; manage end-to-end delivery processes.
• Own the consolidated delivery schedule and publish a forward-looking plan.
• Coordinate security requirements for every delivery and document before dispatch.
• Plan and supervise material handling and storage space for multiple projects.
• Receive, inspect, and document inbound materials; maintain records.
• Develop and enforce delivery SOPs covering security, safety, hazmat, OPSEC, and chain of custody.
• Coordinate with facilities, engineering, contractors, and vendors.
