Job summary

Rollout Systems in Patuxent Highland, MD is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to support enterprise IT for a government-focused customer, onsite. You will deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware, VMs and containers, and ensure secure configurations aligned with DoD guidance.

Responsibilities include backups, disaster recovery, user management, software deployment, incident resolution, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of experience solving complex engineering problems in government hosting.
• Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software on servers/workstations.
• Experience maintaining backups, disaster recovery, and documenting configurations.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government software hosting facilities.
• Deploy and maintain hardware, VMs, and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes on hosts.
• Ensure backups, DR plans, and security postures are up to date.
• Support customers and provide guidance on best practices.
