Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Embedded Linux System Administrator to support a secure lab environment at NAS Patuxent River. The role focuses on maintaining Linux-based embedded systems, lab infrastructure, and compliance activities for RDT&E efforts.

Strong troubleshooting and cybersecurity practices are essential, with on-site work required at the Pax River facility. Requirements include 3+ years of systems administration, expertise with RHEL/Ubuntu/Solaris/CentOS, and active TS clearance.

Qualifications

Active Top Secret Clearance required.
3+ years of related Systems Administration experience.
Onsite work at NAS Patuxent River.
Experience administering Linux OS including RHEL, Ubuntu, Solaris, CentOS.
Foundational knowledge of STIG, patching, vulnerability scanning and compliance.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Administering and maintaining Linux-based systems within a secure lab environment.
Support embedded hardware and OS used in RDT&E efforts.
Patching, vulnerability scanning, and compliance activities.
Ensure systems are secure, backed up, and operational.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and OS issues.
Support lab sustainment and system upgrades.
Assist with configuration management and system documentation.
Collaborate with engineering teams to support testing and development.
Monitor system health and respond to events.
Support cybersecurity requirements and compliance initiatives.
