Job summary

Link Solutions, Inc. seeks an Intermediate Linux System Administrator in Clarksburg, WV to support DoD mission-critical Linux environments at the LNEC under BOD. U.S.

citizen with active DoW Secret Clearance is required. You will operate, maintain, and secure Linux systems, implement security controls, and work with cybersecurity, networking, and engineering teams toward modernization and resiliency. This role emphasizes automation using Bash and Ansible, system hardening, and adherence to DoD

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with active DoW Secret Clearance.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, SSCP, GSEC, or equivalent).
• Minimum of three (3) years of IT experience with hands-on RHEL and/or derivatives.
• Experience writing Bash scripts for automation.
• Experience installing and maintaining Linux and enterprise services.
• Strong problem-solving and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in changing mission requirements.
• Strong documentation skills and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system performance, availability, and security to maintain readiness.
• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Linux OS and services per security requirements.
• Harden systems per STIGs and DoD cybersecurity mandates.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, authentication, and access across Linux environments.
• Configure enterprise services like DNS, DHCP, LDAP, NTP, SSH, and web services.
• Troubleshoot complex system, application, network, and performance issues.
• Support vulnerability remediation and security scans.
