Job summary

YWCA Seattle King Snohomish is seeking a Life Coach for the Edmonds New Start Center to support clients transitioning from homelessness into permanent housing. You will conduct intakes, set goals, and coordinate housing and employment resources in a 24/7 emergency housing setting.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed, culturally responsive care with a strong focus on antiracism, equity, and social justice. Onsite work is required, with a generous benefits package and competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in social services related field with at least 2 years of case management experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of homelessness, poverty and trauma affecting diverse populations.
• Experience with crisis intervention, domestic violence, substance abuse, mental health.

Responsibilities

• Case management, resource coordination, and stability planning.
• Conduct intakes, set client goals, connect clients to community resources.
• Facilitate life skills workshops and monitor progress toward housing stability.
• Maintain accurate client records and confidentiality.
• De-escalate conflicts or crises and direct to appropriate staff.
