Job summary

Ringside Talent is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to lead security initiatives in an onsite role based in Cleveland, OH. You will design, implement, and maintain security tools, monitor for threats, and guide incident response and vulnerability testing.

The ideal candidate brings 6+ years in security engineering, strong knowledge of network security, SIEM platforms, and incident response processes, with the ability to mentor teammates and shape security policies across IT and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of security engineering experience, including lead or senior roles.
• Strong knowledge of network security, endpoint protection and threat detection tools.
• Experience with SIEM platforms and incident response processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of security tools and infrastructure.
• Monitor systems and networks for security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
• Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, and remediation.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Mentor junior security engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to embed security into system design.
• Stay current on emerging threats and evolving security technologies; support compliance efforts related to relevant security frameworks and regulations.
