Job summary

IMPACT Technology Recruiting assists a Phoenix-based client in hiring a Security Engineer on a permanent basis. The role is onsite four days per week with one day of remote work.

You will protect enterprise systems, assist with incident response, and collaborate with IT and security teams to strengthen the organization7s security posture, using Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne, and other enterprise tools.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Defender and related security tools.
• Familiarity with threat detection, analysis, and remediation on Microsoft-native platforms.
• Hands-on experience with an EDR platform (e.g., SentinelOne).
• Experience supporting email security and data protection solutions in an enterprise environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced security operations environment.
• Azure cloud security experience is a nice-to-have.

Responsibilities

• Perform threat investigation and remediation using Microsoft Defender and Sentinel tools.
• Support a mix of security projects and operational ticket work within the security team.
• Use ServiceDesk to track security incidents, requests, and tasks.
• Assist with data protection and data loss prevention (DLP) initiatives using enterprise security platforms.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security events using an EDR platform.
• Support email security and day-to-day threat protection efforts.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance security processes, tooling, and response capabilities.

Our client, based in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Security Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

• This role is onsite 4 days a week, one day remote
• This is not open to 3rd party vendors/Subvendors etc
• Position includes Salary, Bonus, Medical, Dental, Vision, Pension, Employee stock options, 401K+ Match)

Day to Day:

This role supports both project-driven security initiatives and day-to-day security operations, playing a hands-on role in protecting enterprise systems, data, and users.

The Security Engineer will collaborate closely with IT and security teams to monitor threats, respond to incidents, and support continuous improvements to the organization’s security posture.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Defender and related Microsoft security tools
• Familiarity with threat detection, analysis, and remediation using Microsoft-native platforms
• Hands-on experience with an EDR platform (e.g., SentinelOne or similar enterprise tools)
• Experience supporting email security and data protection solutions in an enterprise environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational security environment
• Any Azure cloud security experience would be nice to have.
