Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks Leads and Senior Level Piping Designers for on-site teams in Houston, TX and other locations. You will lead piping design activities, ensure compliance with ASME B31.3, prepare 3D piping designs, equipment modeling, and isometrics with BOM, and coordinate with project managers.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years as a piping designer, 5+ years in lead roles, on-site pharma experience, and proficiency with Plant 3D, SP3D, Navisworks, and laser scanning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years as a Piping Designer in an engineering design firm.
• For Piping Leads - experience requires 5 years of Lead experience.
• Minimum 5 years on site experience in a pharmaceutical facility is preferred, but similar facilities is acceptable.
• Experience utilizing laser scanning software to back model as well as other field obstructions.
• Experience with ASME B31.3 codes and requirements for Pharmaceutical Design.
• Ability to mentor teams and coordinate multi-discipline designs with leads.

Responsibilities

• Lead piping design activities and ensure compliance with codes, standards, project requirements, and specifications.
• Preparation, 3D piping design and Equipment modeling.
• Layout complex piping systems and process equipment in 3D with isometric drawings and BOM.
• Coordinate design for the Project Manager during all design phases.
• Mentor design teams and improve piping workflows and quality.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and co-workers on-site.
