Job summary

Audubon Companies in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Piping Designer to develop piping layouts and 3D models for capital projects. You will lead design activities, guide junior designers, and ensure designs are constructible and code-compliant from concept through construction.

Required are 10+ years of piping design experience in oil & gas, proficiency in 3D modeling (Navisworks) and ASME B31.3/4/8 knowledge, and strong P&ID understanding.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical diploma in drafting/design or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of piping design experience in oil & gas projects.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software and Navisworks navigation.
• Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.4 and B31.8, pipe supports and specs.
• Solid understanding of P&IDs, stress, and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop piping layouts, plans, isometrics, and 3D models (E3D/CadWorx).
• Lead design activities and coordinate with process/mechanical disciplines.
• Review vendor drawings and support material take-offs (MTOs).
• Mentor junior designers and ensure deliverables meet standards.
• Conduct model reviews and incorporate client feedback.
• Support projects from concept through construction.
