MOHR Talent is seeking an experienced CNC Milling Machinist for aerospace manufacturing near Caledonia, MS. This on-site role requires interpreting complex prints, performing first-piece inspections, and maintaining tight tolerances on large-bed CNC mills.

The candidate will set up and operate machines, verify tooling and offsets, and work with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining challenges. A four 10-hour shift schedule and potential overtime support this demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience operating CNC milling machines, with the ability to identify and correct machining issues.
• Strong blueprint-reading skills, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Experience working with close tolerances and performing dimensional inspections.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment accurately and independently.
• Solid understanding of machining fundamentals, cutting tools, offsets, feeds, speeds, and workholding methods.
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills and the ability to work with limited supervision.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsabilités

• Set up, operate, and monitor large-bed CNC milling equipment used to manufacture precision metal components.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, machining specifications, and GD&T requirements to produce parts within established tolerances.
• Verify tooling, workholding, machine offsets, and cutting parameters before and during production.
• Identify dimensional inconsistencies, equipment issues, and machining problems, making appropriate adjustments to maintain production quality.
• Inspect finished and in-process components using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to confirm compliance with engineering specifications.
• Work with engineering and quality personnel to resolve machining challenges involving complex geometries and specialized materials.
• Support CNC program adjustments, including G-code edits and machining improvements, when qualified.
• Conduct routine equipment checks and basic preventive maintenance to support machine performance.
• Maintain accurate production documentation and follow established safety and quality procedures.
