Job summary

Propio Language Services connects people through innovative language solutions, providing interpreting and translation services across healthcare, education, government, legal, and other settings.

We are seeking onsite contract interpreters in the Atlanta, GA area who can provide accurate consecutive interpretation between English and multiple languages, with remote interpretation when applicable, while upholding HIPAA, FERPA, and client confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Professional proficiency in English and All Spoken Languages.
• Ability to provide consecutive interpretation between English and All Spoken Languages.
• Completion of language and interpreting proficiency evaluations.
• Résumé in English during the application process.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education/experience as required by client standards.
• Basic computer and technology proficiency.
• Ability to travel to onsite assignments.
• Ability to satisfy health and immunization requirements per client/site.
• Background checks, security, fingerprinting, and/or drug screening may be required.
• Agreement to confidentiality, privacy, and ethics requirements.
• One or more years of professional interpreting experience.
• Medical, legal, community, educational, or social-services interpreting experience.
• Relevant interpreter training, credentials, or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation between English and all spoken languages during onsite assignments.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable.
• Follow interpreter protocols, standards, and client requirements.
• Comply with confidentiality, privacy, security, and assignment protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements (HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA).
• Maintain professional interactions with clients and participants.
• Maintain language proficiency and subject-matter knowledge for accurate interpretation.
