Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a Test Lab Technician to work onsite in Florence, KY, supporting research and development, prototype testing, and measurement capture in a collaborative lab setting.

You will build fixtures, run tests, maintain lab equipment, and prepare preliminary test reports for engineering review, applying practical mechanical and electrical skills. This role emphasizes curiosity, problem solving, and teamwork within a safe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; a two-year technical degree is preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with hands-on lab skills.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and manufacturing processes.
• Foundational knowledge of trigonometry and basic mechanical principles.
• Experience troubleshooting test rigs and using measurement instruments (temp, speed, vibration, torque).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with mechanical power transmission components (bearings, gears, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe, organized lab environment.
• Set up and perform research and development testing on products and prototypes.
• Build, assemble and modify test fixtures and support equipment as needed.
• Maintain lab equipment and testing tools for reliable performance.
• Monitor test activity and capture key measurements for preliminary reports.
• Disassemble tested products and prep samples for inspection and evaluation.
• Support prototype assembly and preparation for testing.
