Job summary

Pace is seeking a Lab Technician 1 in Newburgh, NY, to join our environmental testing lab. This full-time, on-site role runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and pays $18.00 per hour. You’ll support sample prep, handling, and documentation within a safety-conscious lab setting.

You’ll contribute to data accuracy, work with PPE, and help maintain lab records and databases, with training provided to grow a long-term scientific career at Pace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a lab or office setting, stand for long periods, handle samples with PPE, and work around smells.
• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support all laboratory sample-related activities, including preservation, preparation, processing, and maintenance.
• Maintain and update appropriate documentation and databases.
• Participate in training on fundamental lab support policies, programs, and practices.
