Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a hands-on Lab IT Network Technician for an onsite role in San Jose, CA. This 20 hours/week contract (12 months with possibility of extension) pays $35–$41.20/hr on W-2. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 6 AM–10 AM PT.

Responsibilities include supporting lab operations, network troubleshooting, hardware bring-up, and maintaining equipment. Ideal candidates have strong network troubleshooting skills, basic electronics knowledge, and experience with hardware debugging.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as IT Network Technician or similar roles.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving lab network connectivity issues.
• Ability to work onsite in a lab environment and manage lab inventory.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve lab network, connectivity, and firewall issues.
• Support engineering lab operations and test infrastructure.
• Assist in hardware bring-up, calibration, and equipment maintenance.
• Document lab configurations and inventory status.
