Job summary

Labcorp in Kettering, OH is seeking an Onsite Lab Support Clerk to perform specimen accessioning, data entry, and basic lab support in a fast-paced environment onsite with client offices.

You will prepare specimens, communicate with client office staff, label and ship specimens, and ensure accurate data entry while meeting production goals. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 40lbs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2+ years in laboratory, accessioning, data entry, or manufacturing.
• 2+ years medical or patient-facing healthcare experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Communicate effectively with client office staff.
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Scrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updated.
• Do spinning/freezing/splitting and other special services as needed based on client.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00am-2:00pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing

Minimum Qualifications:

The position, Hospital Reference Test Clerk, will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment located onsite with one of our client offices.

Pay Range:

$17.75- $25.49 per hour
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data

Benefits:

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
