Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our Broadview Heights, OH lab. The role handles accessioning, specimen preparation, data entry, and accurate labeling in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment.

You will unpack, route, and store specimens, ensuring quality and compliance with SOPs, with hours from 4:00pm to 12:30am, Monday through Friday and rotating Saturdays. Training provided; must pass color blindness test.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year lab or production experience preferred.
• 6+ months medical or production experience helpful.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday 4:00pm – 12:30am, and rotating Saturdays

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing

• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities

• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more experience (lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse environment)
• 6 months or more of medical or production experience

• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

The Specimen Processor will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data

• Pay Range: $17.75 - $24.26 per hour

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
