Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Java Selenium Test Automation Engineer to deliver high-quality automated testing solutions that improve software quality and accelerate release cycles. You will work within the Quality Engineering team, collaborating with developers, business analysts, product owners, and client stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in Quality Engineering, Functional Testing, Test Automation, or Software Testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with automated testing using Java and Selenium.
• Experience in functional, regression and integration testing.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum environments and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions.
• Strong analytical and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and test suites using Java and Selenium.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to define test scenarios and ensure coverage.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Enhance automation frameworks and testing assets for reliability.
• Support CI/CD by integrating tests into pipelines and ensuring stable execution.
