Job summary

Vaxcyte, a clinical-stage vaccine innovator in San Carlos, CA, is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to deliver frontline and escalated IT support and maintain a secure, reliable environment.

You will handle onboarding/offboarding, device provisioning, endpoint management, and AV/meeting support while collaborating with Lab Operations and Systems Engineering. This role is onsite, four days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical IT experience.
• 4+ years of IT support / operations experience.
• Biotech experience is a plus.
• Experience providing helpdesk / desktop support and using a ticketing system (Freshservice is a plus).
• Experience managing Windows endpoints with Intune / MEM.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 / Tier 2 IT support via helpdesk / ticketing system, resolve issues promptly with strong customer service while meeting SLAs.
• Perform user onboarding and offboarding including account, access, and license provisioning.
• Deploy, configure, and support Windows endpoints through Microsoft Intune / MEM.
• Support lab computers — OS, connectivity, endpoint management, security; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Support core end-user tech (M365, Okta, Teams/Zoom) and conferencing/AV systems.
• Provide hands-on support for meetings/conference rooms — setup and live support for events.
