Job summary

The MIL Corporation seeks a Help Desk Support II to support a federal government client in Culpeper, VA. This on-site role provides first-level IT support across software and hardware, with emphasis on customer service and timely issue resolution.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of professional experience, CompTIA A+, and strong communication skills. US Citizenship is required and a Public Trust clearance is anticipated as funding is approved.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional IT experience.
• CompTIA A+ Certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Ability to own issues and escalate when necessary.
• Motivated team player with ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Create, maintain and publish support documentation for quick resolution.
• Willingness to attend internal training to stay current.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents across operating systems and applications.
• Assist users with logged IT-related incidents.
• Conduct problem analysis to implement fixes and restore service quickly.
• Record, update and document requests in the IT service desk system.
• Install and configure new IT equipment.
• Resolve incidents and upgrades of software/hardware.
• Troubleshoot printers, copiers, and scanners.
• Maintain high-quality customer service and professionalism.
• Support annual performance review process.
