Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an IT Asset Management Associate for a full-time role in Portland, OR. The candidate will serve as the central SPOC for managing IT assets across the USA and Canada, including DaaS and non-DaaS devices.

Responsibilities include inventory control, logistics, and lifecycle management from procurement to disposal. The role requires 3–5 years in IT asset management, experience with ServiceNow and CMDB, and strong vendor/logistics coordination capabilities.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of IT Asset Management experience focusing on end user hardware, tracking, reporting, and lifecycle management.
• 2 to 3 years of ITShop, ServiceNow and CMDB experience.
• Experience with vendor consolidation and logistics management.

Responsibilities

• Central SPOC for managing IT assets (DaaS & Non-DaaS) across USA & Canada.
• Covers laptops, desktops, printers, factory PCs/devices, and spare parts.
• Responsible for inventory, logistics, vendor coordination, and lifecycle management.
• Manage end-to-end asset lifecycle (procurement → deployment → tracking → disposal).
• Maintain accurate asset inventory in ITSM/CMDB tools.
• Handle receiving, shipping, and tracking of devices and spares across locations.
• Monitor stock levels and trigger hardware/spare ordering (DaaS & Non-DaaS).
• Coordinate device imaging, staging, and deployment readiness.
• Act as SPOC for logistics coordination with warehouses, sites, and vendors.
• Manage vendor/OEM coordination for hardware break-fix issues.
• Track and manage warranty status (in-warranty & out-of-warranty).
• Provide basic troubleshooting support (laptops, printers, peripherals).
• Execute secure asset disposal and maintain compliance records.
