Job summary

Oil-Dri Corporation of America is seeking a Senior Inventory Control Specialist to oversee maintenance spare parts, materials, and consumables at the Ochlocknee facility. This hands-on role ensures technicians and production teams have the right parts to support safe, reliable operations, while managing inventory transactions and storeroom activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in inventory control, maintenance storeroom operations, warehousing, or related field.
• Experience using an ERP, CMMS, or inventory-management system.
• Knowledge of industrial maintenance parts, equipment, and materials.
• Ability to read vendor catalogs, equipment manuals, and parts breakdowns.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday in an active industrial and mine environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records and transactions within JDE.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories, investigating discrepancies as needed.
• Track critical spare parts and rebuildable inventory.
• Receive, inspect, label, store, and issue maintenance parts and materials.
• Generate purchase requisitions and communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery schedules.
• Follow up on outstanding orders and expedite critical materials.
• Support inventory standardization, obsolete-material reduction, documentation, and 5S initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, maintenance support, and storeroom efficiency.
