Job summary

AVSystem seeks an Integration Software Engineer for Seattle, WA, onsite delivery. You will bridge customer teams and AVSystem’s remote engineers, delivering configurations and knowledge transfer while coding and integrating REST APIs. Expect interactions with a flagship North American telco customer.

You’ll own end‑to‑end project delivery, maintain product knowledge (UMP, ACS, device management stack), and contribute to reliable, scalable deployments in a hybrid model with Europe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (preferred), Software Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Python nice to have).
• Willingness to learn other functional programming languages.
• Experience writing REST API integrations (both client- and server-side).
• Fluent in English / native – requires daily communication with customer onsite and with remote European team.
• Authorization to work in the United States; able to commute to Seattle, WA on a hybrid schedule.
• Solid understanding of networking and TCP/IP; CCNA-level is a plus.
• Linux system administration skills; RHCSA-level comfort is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist in the technical implementation of projects and programs assigned to the team with minimal supervision.
• Develop and maintain deep working knowledge of AVSystem products (UMP, ACS, device management stack).
• Establish and maintain relationships with customer staff at all levels.
• Work with remote AVSystem team to ensure successful delivery of configurations and knowledge transfer.
• Maintain an end-to-end overview of projects: scope, dependencies, milestones, and fit into architecture.
• Write project-specific code in our platform GUI to facilitate router and CPE configuration.
• Implement REST APIs integrations with the customer’s external systems.
• Configure platform GUI to display, monitor, and report KPIs.
• Participate in deployment and onsite activities; troubleshoot onsite.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable engineering tasks for the remote team.
