Responsibilities

• Obtain and document policy numbers, coverage dates and pre-authorization needs.
• Communicate with patients, providers and insurers to gather and relay information.
• Collaborate with billing and coding to resolve discrepancies in insurance data.
• Maintain detailed records and update EHRs with verified information.
• Identify and address issues affecting insurance verification and timely claims.
• Stay updated on changes in policies and billing codes; participate in training.
