USPI is seeking an Insurance Verification Clerk for a 100% onsite position in Germantown, TN. The role verifies patient insurance coverage, documents policy details, and updates the EHR to support accurate billing and timely claims processing.

You will collaborate with patients, providers, and insurers, ensuring compliant, clear communication and adherence to policies. A high school diploma and familiarity with medical terminology are required.

Full- Time Insurance Verifier - 100% Onsite Position

Gastro One 1310, a leading healthcare provider in Germantown, TN, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Insurance Verification Clerk. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of insurance claims by verifying patient insurance information and coordinating with insurance providers.

Responsibilities:

1. Insurance Verification:
2. Verify patient insurance coverage by contacting insurance companies through phone, online portals, or other established methods.
3. Obtain and document accurate insurance information, including policy numbers, coverage dates, and any pre-authorization requirements.
4. Communication:
5. Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to gather and relay necessary information.
6. Collaborate with the billing and coding team to resolve any discrepancies in insurance information.
7. Documentation:
8. Maintain detailed and accurate records of insurance verifications for each patient.
9. Update electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant databases with verified insurance information.
10. Problem Resolution:
11. Identify and address any issues or challenges related to insurance verification promptly.Work closely with the billing team to resolve insurance-related problems and ensure timely processing of claims.
12. Training and Compliance:
13. Stay updated on changes in insurance policies, regulations, and billing codes.
