Job summary

WorkCare, Inc. is seeking an Injury Prevention Specialist (IPS) for dedicated rapid response onsite coverage across multiple California locations, including Oakland, Fremont, San Jose, and surrounding areas.

The role involves delivering injury prevention, ergonomics, wellness, and related services under the applicable SOW, with up to 40% travel. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm with seasonal adjustments.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited healthcare education program.
• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years professional experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Medical license or certification recommended.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel up to 40%.
• Travel up to 40% is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Rapid Response onsite support for assigned WorkCare clients and projects per SOW.
• Deliver onsite injury prevention, ergonomics, wellness, and related services within clinical scope.
• Support multiple clients, locations, and projects including short-term deployments.
• Provide triage, first aid, education, and escalation of care as appropriate.
• Engage employees to identify injury risks and promote safe work practices.
• Conduct ergonomic analyses and provide recommendations for work setup and tools.
• Provide on-the-job coaching to improve body mechanics and total worker health.
• Maintain timely documentation of services and outcomes.
