Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a Yellow Iron Mechanic to provide on-site maintenance and repairs for facility processing equipment at our aragonite unit in Utah. The role emphasizes health & safety and requires mechanical aptitude for conveyors, compressors, kilns, boilers, welding, and electrical systems.

The position is 100% onsite with no remote work. A High School Diploma or equivalent and experience with heavy equipment maintenance are required, along with a valid driver’s license and the ability

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Hydraulic system repair experience.
• Industrial maintenance experience with conveyors, compressors, hydraulic systems, kilns, boilers, electrical, welding.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Disassemble/Reassemble facility equipment to examine or repair.
• Fabricate metal pieces and replace gaskets as needed.
• Determine cause of malfunctioning systems and perform repair or replacement of defective component(s).
• Monitor equipment to ensure all repairs and testing are completed to insure proper operation.
