Job summary

SSI People is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician for an on-site role in the Florence area. The position focuses on maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of refrigerant-based HVAC systems within a facility environment.

You will diagnose and repair chillers, DX units, heat pumps, rooftop units, and VRF/VRV systems while performing refrigerant recovery and leak detection. Strong electrical and controls knowledge is essential, with CMMS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal).
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience servicing refrigerant-based HVAC systems.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing refrigerant circuits, chillers, DX units and VRF/VRV systems.
• Familiarity with building automation systems and system performance testing.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair refrigerant-based HVAC equipment including chillers and rooftop units.
• Perform refrigerant recovery, charging, leak detection, brazing, and compressor repairs.
• Troubleshoot electrical components, low-voltage controls, sensors, and automation devices.
• Complete preventive maintenance inspections and document findings and repairs.
