Job summary

Moffitt is seeking an HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic II to perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of facility HVAC/R systems in accordance with hospital and regulatory codes. responsibilities include ensuring safe environments, coordinating with contractors, and documenting PM tasks.

The role requires a minimum of five years of HVAC/R technician experience, EPA refrigerant certification within 90 days, and a valid driver’s license. Onsite considerations and weekend shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of five (5) years as HVAC/R service-related technician experience.
• EPA Refrigerant Certification required; must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to work various shifts and weekends as needed.
• Valid Florida Driver's License or ability to obtain one on hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs for HVAC/R and related systems to ensure safe environment and operational reliability according to management standards.
• Ensure PM tasks are properly completed and documented with materials and time tracked.
• Assist with/oversee repairs or modifications performed by contractors.
• Demonstrate technical knowledge depth for HVAC/R components, tools, materials and usage.
• Utilize building automation computers and maintenance management systems; coordinate with the team.
