Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is hiring an onsite Human Resources Manager at our Shepherdsville, KY facility. You will lead local HR activities for both exempt and non-exempt staff, ensuring a compliant, engaged, and productive workforce.

Leverage your HRIS expertise and leadership to shape HR strategies, while partnering with management on staffing, training, and performance. Typical hours are Mon-Fri 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with flexibility for urgent needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or Education, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of progressive HR experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
• 1+ years of leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of HRIS systems and labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Serve as HR partner for the facility, coordinating HR functions for exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Plan, direct, and maintain a conflict-free workplace and drive employee satisfaction.
• Travel and schedule flexibility beyond standard hours as needed.
• Collaborate with management on staffing, performance, and DEI initiatives.
• Spend at least 20% of time on the floor to stay connected with the workforce.
• Support Talent Acquisition in recruitment and selection processes.
• Maintain payroll/data integrity with UKG Dimensions and other HR systems.
• Develop and monitor HR policies, training programs, and safety standards.
