Job summary

Elderwood at Amherst is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations for the site, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and compliance with applicable laws.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem‑solving and communication skills, experience with HRIS, ATS, and LMS, and the ability to partner with leadership to support a high‑performing, patient‑focused team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources or Business.
• PHR is preferred.
• Minimum of five years of experience in a Human Resources management role.
• Demonstrable knowledge in state & federal labor laws, FMLA, OHSA, COBRA.
• Prior payroll and benefits experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting: sourcing, interviewing and onboarding via ATS.
• Onboarding & Training: new hire paperwork and general orientation.
• Administrative: maintain HR records, ensure regulatory documentation and compliance.
• Payroll & Benefit Administration: benefits enrollment, data entry in HRIS, payroll inquiries.
• Unemployment & Workers Compensation: respond to claims and OSHA/logs.
• Employee Relations: policy enforcement, performance management, retention programs.
• General: oversee HR initiatives, maintain LMS/ATS/HRIS.
