Job summary

myPlace Health in Compton, CA is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to manage medical, dental, therapy, and other appointments for participants under the PACE program. You will align scheduling with individual care plans and coordinate with the Transportation Team to ensure timely access.

You will confirm external referrals, welcome new participants, and act as the scheduling quarterback across clinics, home care, and records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years in medical scheduling or healthcare administration.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish to serve a diverse community.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule medical, dental, therapy, and specialty appointments.
• Facilitate external referrals, authorizations, and transportation as needed.
• Onboard new participants with initial assessments and ensure timely scheduling.
• Maintain accurate EMR scheduling records and communicate with caregivers and teams.
• Serve as the scheduling coordinator across clinics, home care, and transportation teams.
• Address scheduling conflicts and urgent requests to ensure continuity of care.
