Job summary

WorkCare in York, PA is seeking a per diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support our onsite clinic efforts and provide health care services to employees on site.

The role includes tasks such as first-aid, medical testing, immunizations, and return-to-work clearances within an occupational health setting. Licensure in PA, DEA, and ACLS/BLS are required, with a minimum of 3 years of occupational medicine experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Pennsylvania with national certification.
• Must have unrestricted DEA license.
• Current ACLS/BLS certifications.
• Minimum of 3 years advanced practice experience in occupational medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides first-aid and medical treatment including wound care and follow-up per Workers’ Compensation standards.
• Performs regulatory testing, TB tests, immunizations, blood draws, and drug testing if required.
• Supports wellness activities, flu shots, and employee health education.
• Conducts employee medical surveillance examinations and return-to-work clearances.
• Maintains health records, HIPAA compliance, and confidential information.
