Elma Electronic in Fremont, CA is seeking an onsite Assembler, Harness to build cable harnesses and ensure adherence to drawings and specifications. You will use wire strippers, crimpers, soldering stations, and cable testers while maintaining ESD compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in cable or harness assembly.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings, samples, and written instructions.
• Comfort working in a hands-on, fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Build semi-complex to complex cable harnesses, including AC/DC power cables, I/O cabling, and custom cable assemblies.
• Follow established methods, drawings, samples, and work instructions to complete assemblies accurately.
• Use hand tools and cable-specific equipment such as wire strippers, crimpers, soldering stations, and cable testers.
• Perform in-process and final inspections; test cable assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Support wiring of built chassis when custom cabling workload is minimal.
• Maintain ESD compliance and follow Elma workmanship standards.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and aligned with housekeeping guidelines.
• Meet production schedules, quality standards, and documentation requirements.
