• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in English and Haitian Creole.
• Ability to accurately provide consecutive interpretation.
• Successful completion of language and interpreting evaluations.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education/experience.
• Basic computer and technology proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate consecutive interpretation between English and Haitian Creole on onsite assignments.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable.
• Follow interpreter protocols, standards, and client requirements.
• Comply with confidentiality, privacy, security, and ethics requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and data-protection requirements (HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, etc.).
• Interact professionally with clients, patients, and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain language proficiency and terminology for accurate interpretation.
