Amex GBT’s U.S. Military and Government team is seeking a Travel Consultant in Washington, DC.

This onsite role delivers exceptional service to defense and government travelers before, during, and after business trips, leveraging top-tier technology to ensure a flawless travel experience. With 10+ years in military/government travel and expert Sabre knowledge, you’ll provide tailored recommendations and resolve complex itineraries while maintaining a strong focus on customer care and compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Travel Consultant in Military and Government.
• Advanced knowledge of GDS Sabre and international travel.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to Federal Government contract.

Responsibilities

• Create domestic and international travel arrangements (air, hotel, rail, ground transportation).
• Ensure reservations follow client standards and preferences.
• Act as a trusted advisor with informed recommendations for the best travel experience.
• Handle a range of bookings from simple to complex, including multi-destinations and fare changes.
• Make changes or resolve issues during or before travel assignments.
