Job summary

The Gift Shop Attendant at Akron Children&'s Hospital supports the gift shop manager and volunteers with the activities of the Gift Shops. Schedule onsite: 2 Weekday evenings 2:30PM-8:15PM, plus one weekend a month Saturday 8:45AM-4:15PM, Sunday 10:45AM-4:15PM.

This PRN, part-time role focuses on service and accurate cash handling. Responsibilities include serving customers, answering inquiries, balancing the register, checking in merchandise, and displaying goods as directed.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail operations and sales is required.
• Strong communication and verbal skills.
• Computer knowledge is preferred.
• Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred.
• Proficiency in Counterpoint and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist gift shop manager and volunteers with activities of the Gift Shops.
• Serve customers promptly and courteously.
• Answer customer inquiries.
• Balance money from register and make deposits for shift.
• Check in merchandise promptly and accurately.
• Display merchandise in a manner consistent with supervisor directions.
• Other duties as required.
