Job summary

Ashby Ponds is seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents with communication, cognitive-linguistic, voice, and swallowing disorders onsite in Ashburn, VA.

You will develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based interventions, and educate residents and families while documenting progress and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current Speech-Language Pathology license in Virginia.
• Experience with geriatric populations is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, voice and swallowing evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on treatment strategies and communication techniques.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries per guidelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team for resident-centered care.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Participate in care planning and team meetings.
