Job summary

An innovative fusion energy company in California is seeking a Design Engineer to engage in 3D CAD design and development of new technologies. This role demands a strong background in SolidWorks or Catia and the ability to coordinate with various teams. Candidates should have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and 2 years' mechanical design experience. Qualifications

• 2–4 years in progressively relevant work experience in design positions.
• At least 2 years of experience in a mechanical design role using 3D modeling.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Complete a variety of complex 2 and 3D CAD design assignments.
• Host and actively participate in team design reviews.
• Perform Q&A on completed products.

Skills

3D modeling using SolidWorks or Catia

Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

DFMA (design for manufacturing assembly)

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience with precision measuring instruments

Education

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
