Job summary

Custom Culinary, a Griffith Foods subsidiary, is hiring an FSQS Compliance Manager for Avon, Ohio. You will lead FSQS strategy, drive regulatory alignment, and oversee audits to ensure full compliance with FDA/USDA, GFSI, and customer requirements.

The role requires onsite work five days a week in Avon with up to 10% US travel. Strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and site audit experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science/engineering field related to food.
• 10+ years in the food industry with 3+ in FSQS.
• 5+ years of direct people management.
• 5+ years’ experience with FDA/USDA regulations, pathogen control, allergen control, third-party audit and GFSI.

Responsibilities

• Lead 2 direct reports and 4 indirect reports.
• Oversee external co-manufacturers to align with Griffith Foods standards.
• Coordinate FSQS activities across functions and plant teams.
• Monitor performance on raw material violations, complaints, audits; drive improvements.
• Manage site visits and audits by customers, regulators and certifying bodies; drive corrective actions.
• Provide technical expertise on liquids manufacturing (retort, acids, cooling curves).
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Marketing and Product Development to ensure lifecycle compliance.
• Collaborate with external regulatory consultants and industry partners as internal resource.
