Freeform is seeking a new graduate FPGA Engineer (Summer 2027) to help build AI-native manufacturing systems that unify software, hardware, and physics for autonomous metal 3D printing factories. You will contribute to high-performance FPGA-based signal processing, controls, and embedded Linux interfaces, collaborating across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science.
• Hands-on electrical experience from internships or engineering clubs (FSAE, Baja SAE, solar car, rocket/robotics clubs).
• Experience developing in VHDL or Verilog.

Responsibilities

• Developing new logic components for use on FPGAs.
• Implementing custom algorithms on FPGAs for signal processing.
• Implementing custom controllers on FPGAs.
• Develop embedded Linux applications to interface with FPGA logic components.
• Packaging and using IP components in FPGA block diagram design.
• Work on development boards and in production environment.
